I just came across these words:
“Only the hand that erases can write the true thing”, Meister Eckhart.
I guess he is right. It would be strange if in the world where everything evolves our ideas wouldn’t. Nevertheless, sometimes it’s good to look back and see an unaltered track of your life, like timestones or breadcrumbs trail if you like. Memorycemetery, as it follows from it’s name is the place to rest memories.
We don’t moderate and don’t censor your posts (well, as long as they’re not spam and related to the subject), so such a rule as no posts editing after they ‘re published should help you to preserve the memory as it is. It protects you against yourself in a way, helping you to keep an honest track of your life and separate important from minute.
Such a rule in the end, makes this place interesting to explore and belong to.
We can’t change our past anyway; what done is done.
To move forward we should leave our past behind.
