The Passing Of Time

I once loved a girl
I gave her my heart
I gave her the world
But still somethings missing

She tore me apart
Ripped at the seams
I opened my heart
She broke my dreams

We stood so close
Under the dark night sky
I wanted to stay
But she said goodbye

She tore me apart
Ripped at the seams
I opened my heart
She broke my dreams

Those nights in her bedroom
I held her head high
Softly breathing
Watching her cry

She tore me apart
Ripped at the seams
I opened my heart
She smashed my dreams

Then fate came to play
I told her I love her
She said she was sorry
I knew it would hurt

She tore me apart
Ripped at the seams
I gave her my heart
She smashed my dreams

ABOUT ME: Currently I'm a freshman doing a double major in Journalism and English at the University of Ashland in Ashland, Ohio. I really have no idea what I want to do with the rest of my life, though. I live for music. My guitars are my life. I'm a quiet kind of guy under most circumstances, and I'm most likely to be the only sober person at the party.

Nice poem… broken heart is the sure way to become a poet…is it about the same girl as in other post?

No, not really. THe first story was about nobody in particular. If you’ve read my blog, this is about the girl that I have talked about on there alot.
