The forbidden in waking life
Taboos, prohibitions, and etiquette
Constructs, boundaries, limitations, and distance
All melt away as the world fades
Come close, for distance is illusory
Draw near, let timelessness prevail
Hold me, no one knows but us
Touch me, a reality perceived but not shared
Still, a man can dream.

Jacob, I love your posts.
I think you are a great writer.
Very nice poem… reminds me Japanese haiku somehow… same fragile beauty
surely, a man can dream…
What’s happening with your book by the way?
Thanks, Maria! I appreciate the kind words.
As for the book, I’m slowly and steadily working through the revisions right now. I’m planning on self-publishing (with a print-on-demand service such as Lulu.com) and also making the text available online under a Creative Commons license. I’m anxious to finish this project soon, which hopefully will be in the next 2-3 months.
Dear Jacob,
I would be happy to read it. Don’t forget to post a link here…
I checked your other site, and found there quite a few links to Lucid dreaming…
I’m interested in Dzogchen and mahasiddhi…
Do you practice lucid dreaming?
I’ll certainly keep you updated with the book. I’m glad that you’re interested!
I try and practice lucid dreaming, though I’m not very good at it yet. Even so, I find that simply paying attention to my dreams and increasing my dream recall is a valuable exercise.
Thank you.
It’s very nice of you.
I guess I also should pay more attention to my dreams… have a notebook by my bed or something… or maybe a laptop, so I can type them and post here at once :)…
